Family Business Advisory
When family, ownership and business overlap, relationships become a business issue too.

Purpose and Goal
In family businesses, family relationships are not separate from the business. Family roles, ownership, responsibility and operational leadership often overlap, which means that business decisions carry a different weight.
The same person may be a parent, owner, director or mentor to the next generation at the same time. Different expectations, unspoken agreements or tensions therefore affect not only family relationships, but also the company’s ability to make decisions, collaborate and develop.
I support families in creating greater clarity around relationships, roles and agreements where family dynamics influence collaboration, decision-making and the future of the business.
Preserve the Family
Preserve the Family is systemic and relational support for families navigating important business, ownership and generational transitions.
The work focuses on relationships that need to withstand difficult conversations, differing expectations and important decisions about the future.
The aim is not to create perfect agreement, but to create the conditions in which different perspectives can be heard, tensions can be addressed constructively, and agreements can be shaped that are clear and sustainable for both the family and the business.
Support can be particularly valuable during succession and the transfer of responsibility, alignment between generations, relationships between siblings or co-owners, clarification of family members’ roles in the business, and other situations where family and business interests are difficult to separate.
Support is not only relevant when tensions or difficulties have already emerged. It can also be valuable when a family wants to create greater clarity around roles, decision-making, collaboration and the future of the business before complexity turns into conflict.
Particular attention is also given to the involvement of the next generation, where personal ambitions, family expectations and questions around future roles and responsibilities often meet.
When?
When a family needs structure for difficult conversations and clear agreements.
Sometimes the challenge is not a lack of professional solutions, but the fact that important topics are difficult to open up, family members have different views of the future, or the existing dynamics make it difficult to reach a clear agreement.
I create a structured space in which difficult topics can be addressed, different perspectives can be included, and clearer agreements can be developed around roles, responsibilities, collaboration and the future.
The work is always tailored to the specific situation of the family and the business and can take place as a standalone process or as part of a broader advisory engagement.
Working Alongside Existing Advisors
Legal, tax, ownership and governance solutions create an important framework. For that framework to work in practice, however, the people involved need to understand their roles, align expectations and be able to collaborate through demanding transitions.
My work therefore does not replace legal, tax, financial or other professional advisors. It complements their work by addressing the relational and systemic dimension of the process.
Where appropriate, I can also work directly alongside the family’s existing advisory team.
